Default got my mag, and what do i see? god damn vivid and Agency power stickers all over

man, i get my issue and happy till i see this white car (which does look good) but it has two of the worst Subaru vendors stickers all over it.
we have vivid, who is banned from even being a vendor on here anymore (lots of great story's on this one, like them shipping out empty boxes)
then we have agency power which seems to love to copy everybody's products (aka, kartboy and others)

that totally put me off on that issue. other readers will see that and think they are a great company, but they are just scamers.

well, keep up the good work, but try to pick better stuff.

If we had our way, we'd only feature cars with 0 stickers. But it's the sponsors (note, Cusco is also a sponsor of that car) that make the hot stuff possible.

I saw this car in person while I was hanging out in the Nukabe/Cusco booth at sema - It was a very worthy car to feature in SubieSport. I also have nothing against the stickers that are put on vehicles. It is a partnership between the car builder and companies in order to create a dual benifit marketing vehicle.

Althought it was featured in two magazines at about the same time, I read booth and each magazine pulled off its on spin on the car and provided extra depth on the car than if it only got one feature.

Great job SubieSport!

i am sure the car is nice. its the part that they are supporting two very bad companys. with vivid, they were banned from selling on this fourm. BANNED, they seem to like to send people empty boxes.

now you have AP, a company known for ripping off good companys, Kartboy for example, they are copying there shifter to the T. its just sad.

Please keep your opinions about vendors out of this thread. There is a vendor review section for that and I will not tolerate unsubstantiated bashing of a vendor in our section. Several different companies all had a hand in this car. Just becuase the nasioc bandwagon has a problem with one vendor does not make a car any less interesting or cool. Shall we shut out coverage of Cusco or Nukabe as well?
For every one post about a "bad" shop you can find 5 in praise of the same place.

Please, keep an open mind and see the car for what it is: cool.

this thread was about these vendors. i know the car rocks, and your mag rocks. i subscribe and have been from the beginning. i will continue to subscribe.
but, with as many people that have been burned by vivid, it would be nice to state that. These guys are the ONLY vendor in nasioc history that has been banned. thats some serious stuff.
now, AP, they are just doing the china knock off parts of vendors we all love. we have proof on this board that they bought a products from one of our vendors, then a month later they had there knock off of it. that is also very bad. AP is the walmart of the subaru world.

again, the car rocks, its just those two company's that suck. you say vendors, but they are not vendors on this board (and for good reason)

Vivid now, seemed to like to scam people, they would take your order then ship you a empty box then blame you. sooo many people got screwed by them.

your mag rocks.

Hey guys - if they want to show advertising for companies that make sub-par parts or show vendors that have a history of screwing up orders that's their business.

Afterall, it's not like they rely on the Subaru community for circulation. It's not like they have a special area on the largest Subaru board for feedback on the magazine or anything.

Hey MeanEditor - you've gotten overly defensive with criticism of your magazine in the past when there were things just blatantly wrong (need I bring up the whole swaybar mess again). To have a publication that caters very specifically to such a small market that condones business for a company that has a reputation of hurting many Subaru owners in the pocketbook is just another thing that is wrong. If you don't want people giving feedback of what you do then don't have a special area for the magazine on the board.

Now, I understand that you need cars to take pictures of and talk about, but there are much better choices from the standpoint of actually helping the community.

Like I said before. This is not a vendor review section and not the place to make allegations. If you want to know why we covered a certain car etc. I am more than happy to give reasons. But this isn't the place to make claims or accusations that cannot be substantiated within this space.

Also, shall we just shut the door on any car that has done business with said comany or runs those parts? There is a car in the upcoming issue that has AP suspension parts. Should that car be pulled because of it?

We are simply not going to deny coverage of something just becuase a fraction of our readership may be irked by that coverage. I knew when I printed the story that someone would post a thread like this.

But here is the bottom line. I covered this car because it was the single most interesting car at SEMA, period. It was just too good to pass up.
