Default Speedo Gear?

My speedometer is around 10 MPH fast. Do i need to replace the speedo gear or is there another way to fix this? (07 STi cluster)

Did you change your tire diameter before this problem came about?

Are you on FXT sized (OD) tires?
The speedo drive gear is internal the trans, it is not probably to change it out even if there is (probably not) a different ratio one available. I am not certain but I recall speedo correction devices being used to correct motorcycle speedos when switching sprokets. Maybe there is something similar that would work here too....

**and FXT drivetrain? I forgot that those are a different F/D so perhaps the speedo gearing is different than what that STi cluster was designed to use.
