I was wondering if someone can help here. I have a JDM EJ20R motor and have it mated to a 1994 Legacy FWD transmission. Just tried cranking it over tonight, and the starter is quite a ways away from the ring gear. The starter I am using as well as the flywheel are from JDM car. Would anyone know if there are different length starters available? It is hard to tell from auto parts pics.
Thanks, Steve

Are there differences that you know of from early 90's to later 90's transmissions? Thanks, Steve |

Looking at the parts websites, I see difference for turbo and non-turbo as well as 2wd and 4wd. I am pretty sure my trans came out of a 94 Legacy FWD Non-Turbo. Starter does not seem to be different?
