Default when (if at all) to use cooler plugs

so its recently come to me that im gonna change my spark plugs on my 03 wrx (ive got 65k miles on the engine and previous owner beat the car up badly) im gonna change the turbo to possibly a vf 39 or 34 and ive just aquired the "blue" 06 wrx injectors i have a perrin up pipe, and aps tbe and a perrin intake. at what time if ever is it appropriate to use cooler spark plugs, and would it be noticable or is it just a waste of money ?

The time to change them is when they (the actual plugs you're using) tell you to. Take them out and look at them; they'll tell you if they're overheating.

They time to put colder plugs in is when you are producing more heat inside the combustion chamber. The colder plugs will dissapate the heat from the plug alittle faster than what the factory plugs would. This helps prevent detonations and sometimes may lower your EGT's. If you go with the vf 39 or vf34 you could go ahead and do the plugs. In either case you would be fine. The stock heat range would be fine but when your hp level increases the colder plugs provide alittle insurance to prevent detonation.
