Mine was a '78 CJ-5 Jeep. we redid almost everything to get it running and look good, and I wrecked it on HAlloween of the same year, DOH!

1980 Ford F150 XLT Custom, painted grey by my dad with a BRUSH, over the trim and everything, wheels too. It had a 4" diam. oil pipe full of concrete for a front bumper. However, I learned to drive when I was 9 on a 1970 Deutz 3060 farm tractor, 4 gears, 2 transfer cases, no synchros.

1973 Subaru DL Wagon--in 1981
A front wheel driver, back when SOA did not (make?) send us 4WD models. 1400cc engine, alum block & heads. Cast iron removable cylinder bores, but basicly the same motor as todays models, without OHC. (I've rebuilt a few of these engines)

Neatest feature on this car was a 2 piece tailgate- last year it was made...bottom was like a pickup, you could open the 'gate and sit on it. Tough rascal, had 102,000 when I got it, 150,000+when parked for the last time.... as well as the requisite pre-80's models cancerous rust in the inner fenders, floors and rocker panels. Gave it up for a cherry 1971 2 door coupe (Subaru, of course!)

'77 Honda Civic CVCC. Had a dual tip muffler put on it at JCPenney's in the early '80s just after I bought it. Was fun in its own way.

Cool

Bought a '67 Camaro when I was a senior in high school and I still have it. I hope that it will be my son's car. It ran a 13.73 with radials at Bandamiere speedway in Colorado.

1990 Toyota Corolla. It's quite a workhorse! For 8 years, it never died on me. It still runs great now with 160,000 miles on it.
