Default OFFICIAL "why I'm not moderating anymore" thread

I didn't think there would be rumors about it but apparently there are

So just to set the record straight, the top ten reasons why I am not moderating NASIOC anymore:

10) After selling the Miata, it was only a matter of time.
9) Ed discovered his son's real father. *ducks*
8) Hired by LAPD to infiltrate street racing scene.
7) Got busted for multiple screen names. The others were intence and C89ZX7R.
6) Need to spend all my time training for the day when autocross becomes an Olympic sport.
5) I drive a BMW. I am too good for this site. Enjoy your Subarus, poor people.
4) Carpal tunnel syndrome from banning spammers and telling n00bs to search.
3) Caught buying a set of S-techs. They were for a friend, I swear!
2) Once you run out of places to store all the dead hookers, Nick no longer has any use for you.

And the #1 reason:

1) I don't have time to be a useful moderator anymore. The new job keeps me pretty busy (too busy to goof off/moderate NASIOC at least) and I am spending my weekends either in Philadelphia or dodging cones and a lot less time in front of the computer.

I don't want to be one of those folks who doesn't do any of the work and just wants the cool pink title. I'm not very good at doing things halfassed (unless they involve cars). If the situation changes I may well ask Nick to let me back in to moderate suspension. I think MAIC is probably covered

I will miss hunting down all of intence's screen names. I think I banned six of them. I'm sure he has more. I will also miss the fat moderator paycheck, especially the bonuses for being a huge hypocrite

Thanks to the folks who voted me in, back in the day. Good times

john

No, but I still can!

BD - Thanks for all the hard work you've put in throughout the years. I moved down here on the tail end of the FXIC days. Remember when Mid-A was just a region? ButtDyno was one of the people that pushed and did work to get MAIC started!

Time to defect to tri-state! Less problems with po up here anyway, they have real criminals to bust... unless you're in jerzey, in which case just consider your car stolen already. Hope to see ya at a cheesesteak meet!

I'm going to say that while MAIC might miss your moderating, the suspension forum is where your loss will really be felt. You turned that forum from a crappile of crappy crap to something that should be viewed as a model for the other technical forums. You definitely get kudos for that, and I hope Nick gave you a little something extra in your paycheck.

So I guess you are opposed to the idea of "labelling" Buttdyno's M3?

Everything I need to know about suspension setup I learned from Buttdyno: When your car is set up well, change things wildly! Wait... thats not it.
