Default loud ringing noise?

i've had a very loud ringing noise coming from somewhere near the front of the engine compartment after being run. this has happened a few times to me now. i think it might have something to do with the alarm. a couple of times the noise lasted until the morning. the car is running fine besides this. any info?

If it's making the noise with the engine off it's probably one of your horns. I think there are three of them near the radiator--two look like normal horns and the third is a high frequency piezo buzzer. When it does it again, tap each one with a screwdriver and usually the noise will stop.

I had this problem after a snow storm. The wiring plug on the buzzer managed to work it's way loose and salty water from the roads managed to get in there passed the insulating grease.
