Default A/C: No noise, not cold, nothing

I scheduled next week for the dealer but I want to know what I'm dealing with so they won't rip me off.

It just does nothing. There should be some kind of sound when you turn on the AC button right? I hear nothing. Popped the hood, belt's fine, turn on button and listened under hood, nothing.

Is the compressor dead? Could it be electrical? (Little green light on a/c button turns on).

Thanks

Most probably there is a leak, and the refrigerant has leaked out either partially or completely. When this happens the low-pressure cutout will prevent the compressor from engaging.

Is there a way to check?

By the way, the last year or so, I'd hear a wooosh sound right as I turn it on. It seemed to been getting less cooler too. Is that a sign of refrigerant loss too?

Your car has leaked some or all of it's R134a, why bother checking it as you do not have the gauges. I do AC on UPS semis at work. The tech needs to find out where the refrigerant is leaking at and fix it right. Do not be dumb and try to refill it yourself.

Listen to the man.
Also note that if the system has been open to atmosphere for any length of time, the drier unit will need to be replaced along with any other repairs to fix the leak.

No I'm not gonna fix it myself. I just wanted to make sure I know what the problem is so when I take it to the dealer I'll know what to expect.

Thanks guys
