Default Little help?

I am hoping that someone here can help me out. I came out to my car tonight to go home after work, and something new is happening. There is a clicking going on in what sounds like under the dash by the steering column. The clicking frequency is about one click for every three blinks of my blinker. When I am driving and the car is running, the clicking doesn't change, or do anything. However, when I got home and turned the car off and started playing with things, I found out that, with the headlights off and the car dark, the clicking was turning on and off my parking lights, dashboard lights, and guage lights. This clicking isn't constant, it will go for a minute or two and then stop for about the same amount of time before it starts again. I disconnected the battery so this wouldn't wear down the battery or anything, but I would really like to fix this.

So, any ideas what relay or switch or whatever is doing this? Anyone know what it will take to fix it? And, is this a sign of more bad things?

This is on my '98 LGT.

Did you recently do any work on the car and disconnect the battery for any reason? It sounds like the keyless/alarm system is in panic mode which happens when power is removed and restored. You should be able to reset it by finding the button under the driver side dash and pressing it with the key in the "run" position.

I haven't done anything lately with the battery disconnected. I will sure give that a try, though. Thanks for the idea.

Well, went out to the car today and it was still doing it when I plugged the battery back in. I locked, then unlocked the car with the remote, couldn't get it to do it again after that. Go figgure. Thanks for narrowing it down for me.
