Anyone know if RE01Rs will fit my car:
Model: 2004 STi Suspension: Tein Flexes Wheels: 17x8.5 SSR Comps +48 Camber: -2 front -1.5 rear I have Kuhmo SPTs 245/40/17 on it now and they dont rub and there is room. How much wider and taller are the RE01Rs in 245/45/17? And will they fit? Thanks, Matt

I know some who have run 245/45-17's but, I do not know what was involved in making them fit ...

They'll fit I'm running 18x8.5 +48 with 245/40-18, with no fitment issues, with a tad of room left.

I run those (245/45/17 RE-01R) on the stock 05 wheels (RCE suspension/similar camber). No issues at all. For your 04 if their is an issue... it might be the rear wheels lip.

The RCE suspension you are referring to, are those the T2 coilovers or the springs? The savings on the 245/45/17 over 245/40/17 is considerable, and not much is really known about the new Star Spec Direzza's yet, so I may have to go with the 245/45/17 RE-01R's.

you would be just fine with the 245's
when i bought my 02' wrx it came with goodyear eagle f1 gs's and they were 245/45/16s and I havent noticed any unusal wear and tear. I imagine that the wider tire you get and the more you take your car on the twisties the more the sidewall tread will wear. I am pretty sure the 45 would be just fine too. |
