Default Water/Meth Tuning Questions

A friend and I are going to be installing water/meth on his 04' WRX. Currently, he is running an OECU generic stage 2 map with good results.

We are using the Labonte system, and plan on running 50/50 water/meth. I have a few questions about tuning it.

1. Will a generic stage two map be okay to run as the basis for our water/meth tune? (see below)
2. What's the best way at identifying the load point(s) at which the meth starts injecting? i.e., what's the best item or items to log where we will pick this up so I can set the load/RPM points for the AFR table? Should I simply use a non water/meth log to find the best load point?
3. My understanding (not having tuned water/meth), is that IF we run his base stage 2 map with NO changes, the AFR's will shoot stupid rich (as indicated on an LC-1 set to gasoline), and should NOT be kept forementioned 'stupid rich' as it will wash the cylinders eventually, but timing and boost can stay put for awhile (as they don't make as big of a difference when changed as the AFR leaning).
4. Once AFR's at areas ABOVE water/meth load points/RPM's are brought within reason AND boost is adjusted, then change timing BUT ONLY AS A LAST ITEM. Is this correct?
5. Reasonable AFR's (verified by monitoring KC and EGT's), should be anywhere from 12.0 to 12.5 INDICATED ON THE LC-1 set to gasoline. From what I understand the fueling tables will actually read leaner, as we are trying to pull fuel to make up for the meth. Correct?
6. What are appropriate timing values for a water/meth setup? Stock TD04 (ported), UP/DP/TBE, TGV deletes, perrin pulley, ported stock manifold. His stage two freebie map is running 31 degrees total timing @1.71 calc load @7100RPM. IAM is @16 KC is @ 9, and FLKC is 0. WILL THESE TIMING VALUES BE OKAY TO LEAVE UNTIL WE LEARN THE AFR TUNE?
7. We have a failsafe. Cuts WG solenoid control. SHOULD I BE CONSERVATIVE ON AFR'S AROUND THE 7PSI LOAD AREAS IN MID/UPPER RPM'S (so if the failsafe kicks in, there is even more of a buffer).

Other considerations - Check for boost freggin' leaks like an angry cow before tuning.

Thoughts/Suggestions/Wisdom

Man, whats with everyone cross posting between here and romraider? Use testes1010's breakdown from RR, it's a great writeup.
