Question Are there any vendors working on performance parts for the 2009 Forester XT?

Are there any vendors working on performance parts for the 2009 Forester XT? Intakes, exhausts, ECU tuning, etc... ?

I haven't heard anything yet, was hoping a member or vendor had some details.

might wanna go check out subaruforester.org for answers.
but so far, I don't think their are any 09' specific upgrades. As not many people have one yet to see what works, also, 09 XT, as of now, only come with an automatic so whats the point of performance upgrades

might as well get an 08 XT, I bet leftover 08's are going cheap

cool. Go check out forester.org for info as a few people on their do have a 09'
added comfort ? thats really bias. I bet your talking about the suspension for comfort? I would bet it's a smoother ride then the previous years, but you would need to decide how far into the mod game you want to go, if you want STI type performance, get an 08' and mod away, if you want just an exhaust and an air filter, get the 09'.

It pisses me off the way companies are phasing out MT's.

The seats also seem to be more comfortable. I took a 2007 Forester XT Sports out for a long drive, and seat comfort was what turned me off. Cushioning was way too firm for my tastes.

To answer my own question:

IF you are looking for performance parts - it's looking like there will be several things from SPT:

Quote:
I found the following SPT install manuals for the 2009 Forester for the following items:

SPT Intake
SPT Intake heat shield
SPT Turbo heat shield
SPT Front strut tower brace
SPT lower chassis brace

Link: http://techinfo.subaru.com/html/ixSe...12&free_pub=13

Waiting for word on a SPT Exhaust for the '09 FXT.

so in other words, not much yet, but for sure parts will become avaliable within a few months..I just don't see many people buying a new 09
xt WITH an auto and expect to mod it out..it's an AUTO ! but I bet, next year they re-introduce the forester XT with a manual

I've found out that the 2008 WRX SPT exhaust will fit the 2009 Forester XT, according to some members here.

Based on how silent the exhaust is, I am betting a freer flowing exhaust will really liven things up.

Well, Christian wrote me in a PM they would be interested if anyone local to them (COBB) would mind dropping their '09 FXT off, so they can use it as a test car for one.

So, yeah - if you are local to COBB - drop them a call.
