I have up for sale my beloved BBK. These are NOT STi Brembos.
These are possibly the best mod I did to my car. These have 2-piece 332x32 slotted and drilled rotors with aluminum hats. There is no warping whatsoever. Along with the rotors come aluminum 4-piston calipers - painted red with black lettering. Brembo specific goodridge stainless steel braided lines are also included. Project Mu ceramic racing pads are also included. These have at least 60% left on them. This is a $3000 brake kit new. These have about 20,000 miles on them since they have been professionally rebuilt (before I bought them). I haven't had any problems with these. The only reason I'm selling is because I bought a matched set (front and rear) of the same kit. Price is $1300+ shipping and paypal fees. FIRM. This is a great deal for someone looking for a great set of brakes. Tech specs: Model Number: 1H1.7001A Calipers: "family-B 4 piston" - red with back lettering Rotors: 332x32 2-piece floating (straight with plenty of meat left) Drill Pattern: 5x100 Please confirm wheel fitment independently. For reference I have Enkei RFP-1s 17x8 45mm offset. My understanding is that wheels that will clear STi Brembos will clear these. Pictures: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I honestly never noticed that before. It is on both sides, so I assume that it is normal. Also, there is no paint worn off in that area. I can assure you it hasn't affected the performance of the caliper, and as you can see the seals aren't leaking.

My hypothesis is as follows: These calipers are made to accommodate two different piston sizes, the 7001 (smaller, matched to OEM wrx rear brakes) and 7008 (larger for STI or full GT kits). The caliper housing is manufactured to accept both piston sizes. On my car, which has the 7008 pistons, the same gap is present but is there to accommodate the piston, the ones above have the 7001 piston which doesn't need the gap to fit the piston, but is there as an artifact of the manufacturing process so they don't have to make 2 different caliper housings. |
