Default What's the deal with Heated Seats

Can anyone shed some light on this?

I took a blue '02 WRX wagon for test drive last week at SubCity in Etown. I have to say I fell in love, but that's another story. The car had heated seats! Which I thought was absolutely great given our climate. I since have been up and down the literature and web-site and I've found no mention of this feature. So, its piqued my curiosity - is this an option or standard. Is there anything that comes on the canuck version(?) besides heated seats that isn't explicitly described in the 'literature'?

Are you looking at the US or Candada Subaru website?

Heated seats are STANDARD in Canada (along with heated mirrors). Both ARE NOT available in the US.....

Ok. I really have to kick the crack habit. The canadian web-site does in fact show the heated seats.

Default heated seats

hello all,
I am new to the list and have been reading all the faq's I can get my hands on but still haven't found the answers to a few nagging questions.

1. regarding the thread on Canadian vs US cars in terms of heated seats, are the US spec seats complete with the heating elements and just lacking the control portion? i.e can i just add in the switches and a few jumpers to get heated seats?

2. is there any way to get any 'extra' leg room out of the stock seats? I would like to move the seat rails back @3 inches to gain a llittle more leg room, is this possible without much trouble?

thanks.
