Impreza GC8 FS: My 2000 RSTi needs to go! CT/MA

My 2000 RSTi needs to go! I'm selling the car because I need money for law school, rent and I'm going abroad this summer so I'll need money for that. I have spent an unbelievable amount of money on this car, and while I know I won't get all that back, I'm hoping to get what I can for it. I have plane tickets to buy and no money to buy them, so this car needs to go ASAP.

I purchased the car free and clear in 2004, as the second owner, and in 2005 I swapped the car with a USDM WRX motor. Later on, on the hunt for more power I swapped in the JDM Ver. 7 STI motor you see under the hood. The motor is mated to a freshly installed JDM Ver. 4 STI 4.44 transmission with rear LSD and axles were all replaced with Ver. 4 STI components as well. I've had a lot of fun with the car, but I need to move on from the tuner scene for a while to get my priorities straight, and I'd like to see this car go to a good home.

The body itself has about 95k miles on it. The exterior is mint, as I maintain and clean the car meticulously (Ask anyone who knows me, the car is cleaner than newer STI's ). It has been a daily driven car though, so it has a few dings, such as a small one on the passenger rear door

Good-
*JDM Ver. 7 STI RA motor. 8250 rev limit. Compression checks out great and car makes 294 WHP @ 21.5 PSI via an Open ECU tune. Car also passes OBDII plug in test with a supplied USDM WRX ECU I have that has been reflashed to run the Ver. 7 and will come with the car, but will probably need to be reflashed again since my mods have changed since the last time I went through emissions. Motor has 30k miles on it. Car is very fast. I ran a 13.0 with it, but it has 12's in it with the right driver
*Brand new(ish) Ver. 4 STI drivetrain. 37k km. Just swapped in about a month ago. Has seen maybe a week of actual use since being in the car. ACT clutch has 3k miles on it
*Brand new Fuzion ZRi tires
*Every JDM exterior bit I could get my hands on. Front of the car was resprayed last summer to fix the pitting and rock chips from driving in upstate NY
*Newer radiator just put in
*This car is probably the most bad-ass Subaru I've ever heard. The exhaust note and the sound of the rev limiter is unexplainable in words

Bad-
Car needs a little work, but nothing crazy:
*Turbo probably needs to be replaced. Car boosts, but struggles under heavy load, the turbo makes a shuddering noise under heavy load in third, fourth and fifth, but totally fine in first and second (I forgot how fast this car is, it completely snaps your neck!). It has a 16G now, so if you put another 16G in it won't need a retune From what I and other people can tell, the best guess is its the turbo itself that is causing this issue, but it could be something else
*Lower radiator hose has a small leak or hole, so should be replaced. I don't have time to do it myself
*Car could use a rewire because the AVCS and AC currently don't work (although the AVCS wiring and AC components are all in the car), and the speedo once cut out, but I haven't seen it do this in a long time. Car does not HAVE to be rewired, but I would suggest it, its always run fine up until recently

Car is totally drivable, so long as you have the coolant leak fixed first and try to stay out of boost. ECS is literally 15 minutes from where my car is, and they also said they could fix all the problems with the car if you want them to

Mod List-
Please refer to this page on CarDomain, as it has the most up-to-date list-> http://www.cardomain.com/ride/653221
The car will come with just about everything you see listed

Car will also come with a few boxes of spare parts I have accumulated over the years. Also have all the extra adaptors for the APS turbo inlet, in case you want to upgrade to an 8cm turbo

I will not part out the car

Location-
I live in Boston, MA. The car currently resides at my parents house in Somers, CT, about 10 minutes outside Springfield, MA

Price-
I'm asking $14,500 as the car sits, or less without the wheels and tires, as I'd like to keep them. Reasonable offers will be considered.

If the car were completely fixed I would ask $19k, and the car probably needs $900-2k in work, depending on how good you are at finding parts and if you can do the labor yourself. I myself can get a new harness for $300 and a 16G turbo could probably be had for around $600. With a motor like this though you'll probably just want to go with a huge turbo and make 400WHP or something

I'm also open to partial trades for a Legacy sedan (5 speeds only) or other car.

Pix:

PM me if you're interested. I can arrange viewings of the car.

$14500 w/out wheels to whoever picks the car up this week, cash in hand. I need to sign an apartment lease, and the car needs to go so I can do this. Let's see who's paying attention... Price will go back up. This is the absolute lowest this car will go, and I want the wheels. Car is being sold as is. Drive it a short distance or tow it with the coolant leak.

Sweet car This is alot of car for the money, almost as fast as a sti for less then half the monthly payment..lol **** sometimes I wish I bought something like this instead of my STi just for the money saved.

I would find a used 16g and fix the coolant leak, wont cost you much and will be alot easier to sell. You could get a tad more for the car. People are lazy and just want to get in and drive.

Way fastarrrr than an STI Don't let the HP numbers fool ya!

Yeah I know I should just fix it and then sell it, and I know the fact that it needs a little work is scaring some people away, but I figure the price is right, especially for what you're actually getting.

Wondering if that is the same motor you purchased from me awhile back. If soo that is a great motor and I am glad to see it still running strong that ver7 has soo much more potential in it 400whp all day with the high revs too. well good luck selling it looks good.

^ YUP! Still the same V7 I got from you I didn't even know you were still on these forums since last I saw you had that nice M5.

I always wanted to push a ton of power through it but never really had a transmission to back it up until recently.

If the car doesn't sell soon I'm just going to keep it.
