problems connecting to ecu with green connectors and jumper connected

Hi

I have a 2003 STI Type UK with ECU AH990-5512 and when trying to connect to car i get the below message; I am using a tactrix cable and ECU Explorer and ECUflash to try and connect, using ecuexplorer i am able to delete error codes, but when i connect up the jumper and green connectors and try to read the ROM from my ECU i get the below.

also.. using a different program i get this error

1452 byte kernel read.
kernel checksum is valid (n = 2).
kernel image loaded and verified.
denso02_bootloader_cmd_start
denso02_bootloader_cmd_start
denso02_bootloader_cmd_start
denso02_bootloader_cmd_start
denso02_bootloader_cmd_start
kernel flash disable
rkrv: preamble 1 no response

any ideas on what the problem can be?

you can read the rom without the jumpers connected. thats what i did with a 04 sti ecu.

to write, however, you need to connect the green blocks
