Default AM I going to get beaten to death b/n flagstaff and Albq?

I've never driven it, and I'm taking a road trip soon. I've heard I better pack a spare pair of kidneys . Is it true? I think it's I40, but I don't have my map in front of me. Mel

I40 wasn't that bad 5 years ago, but I don't know what it is like these days. Very boring drive since there are about 2 turns in the whole ride.

Drove it not too long ago, and it seemed perfectly fine. The road to Flagstaff from Phoenix was far far worse when I drove it.

Yeah, I40 is not rough compared to some other "roads" in AZ...straight, wide, and IMO a fairly boring drive.

There's a lot of big-rig traffic along I40 and the weather can change pretty rapidly in that part of the state so plan accordingly. Fill up the tank in Flag, bring plenty of drinking water, and a good mix of CD's.

Enjoy, Brent.
