Default Will these mods wake up this LGT? Are they worth it?

My friend has a 2005 LGT 5spd LTD... the car has 51,000 miles on it and he finds himself not even driving it like he used to, he has gotten bored and is debating modifying it. He does not know whether or not his investment will pay off in smiles.

He is skeptical because he feels that if he mods the car that it will be headaches and problems when all he would be doing is:

-Cobb Stage 2 or a TBE and a Accessport

-Springs

-Wider/lighter/stronger wheels...

-Exedy clutch instead of replacing with an OEM

I think those things will make the car feel amazing compared to the stock car, and he would fall in love with it again. What do you guys think?

a reflash and/or tune of that car brings it to life like you wouldn't believe... suspension and wheels/tires always give a car new life in the handling department...

A downpipe and a tune will make him love his car again. I gurantee it.

definitely do downpipe and tune. will be a completely different car
springs will make a big difference in handling and looks
wheel will get no performance gain just looks
clutch is unnecessary unless slipping, with just a stage 2 setup oem will be fine and fyi oem is made by exedy

I wouldn't do just springs. Do a complete job - struts, springs, and front and rear swaybars. Hell, just a rear swaybar can really liven the car up. Add some summer performance tires onto that, and the LGT is going to be much much more fun.

Engine mods are fine and dandy too, but require a lot more money for the fun factor. And you tend to get used the power bumps pretty quickly.

Does he have a short throw shifter w/ bushings? That can really help a lot too.

downpipe & a tune. Shoot even just opening up the stock exhaust with axle-backs, downpipe and a tune will be great. Even on pump gas the kick will be toxic.

I think he'll love that, it's a great setup.

There was a remarkable difference after we installed the cbe, intake and Accessport on mine. Prior to my '08 spec b, I had an '05 LGT. Never got bored of that car, but it never ran like the new one either!
