Default will WRX/ STi seat fit in my GC8

i want some stock wrx seats... or even some STi seats for my 99 2.5RS

but i was wondering if they will line up the same as my stock seats, or will i have to do some custom work on my brackets?

EDIT: I had Armins old stock WRX seats in my L, now i remember that i had to add my lower frames because Armin had to use his stock ones for his seats, which meant i had to use mine which did not have the lower cushion hight control. sorry for any confusion. thye fit just fine

I put 02 WRX seats directly into my 98 Legacy. Same exact brackets and sliders. Pretty sure you won't need to change anything. My seat height was a bit higher with the WRX seats though...

One of the best mods I've made.

+1 on them fitting, but they do sit higher.

I'm 6'3" and with a helmet and '02 WRX seats in my GF8 wagon is a little tight - rumor has it you can use the GC rails to make em sit lower... to bad I scrapped the extra ones I had.

04 seats in my 2001 on OE rails and they sit TALL

if you're on the taller side, you may want to swap in GC rails.

I Have Sti Seat In My Car And The Driver Seat Is All The Way Down And Its Ok ( Im 6 Foot) ...also If You Have A 2 Door Give Up On Anyone Ever Getting In The Back Again Because The Seats Are Not Meant To Fold Up That Far Being That They Came Out Of A 4 Door. All In All I Like Em. Nice And Comfy.

Yeah, Being 6 foot tall and sitting in the drivers seat is no problem, but dont think that you can sit in the passenger seat without the sunroof open and hair flying out the top...

Back seats are kinda tricky but they can fit great with little modification.

They'll fit, just depends on how skilled you are. I have STi seats in my '87 RX and I welded tabs onto the stock RX seat rails to bolt the STi seats into the car. Took about 4 hours for the first seat and 3 for the second.
