Default FS in CT: 2005 WRX - Immaculate Condition, Low Miles

SOLD!!

For sale is my beloved 2005 WRX Sedan 5MT Platinum Silver Metallic w/ 14,395 miles.

The car is located in north central CT. Always garaged. Only driven on nice days and garage stored during the winter. I can’t even remember the last time this car was driven in the rain – I think it was sometime in 2005. Exceptional condition inside & out. Adult owned, no accidents, never launched, tracked, raced, etc. I am the original owner and I have the title in hand. All modifications performed / installed by myself. Being a Mechanical Engineer, all modifications have been performed meticulously using Factory Service Manual procedures & specifications.

Factory Options:
* Premium Package (Rear Spoiler, Sunroof, heated seats & mirrors, wiper de-icers)
* Auto-dimming rear view mirror/compass
* Security system upgrade
* Sub-woofer (under front seat)
* Armrest extension

MODIFICATIONS:
All parts installed were brand new upon installation unless otherwise noted.

Engine:
All engine modifications were installed at 10k miles unless noted otherwise
* Prodrive Stage 3 Performance Pack (PPP3) ECU reflash on BRAND NEW ECU. ( that’s right, 2 ECUs are included with the car; the original untouched ECU and the PPP3 reflashed ECU)
* Prodrive round tip muffler (this was installed when the car was brand new)
* Prodrive catted downpipe (divorced wg style)
* Custom stainless downpipe heat shields (to protect the PS lines and the RH inner CV joint boot)
* Prodrive mid pipe (retains stock 3rd cat heat shield)
* STi uppipe
* All new Subaru exhaust gaskets used during PPP3 installation
* STi Intercooler (purchased slightly used and installed when the car was brand new)
* Samco black IC hoses (specific to STi intercooler)
* Samco turbo inlet hose - black
* Samco clamps on silicone hoses (no cheap hardware store clamps)
* Prodrive cold air intake w/ insulation wrap (just installed at 14,395 miles)
* Ported & Polished: exhaust manifolds, IC piping, throttle body
* Grounding kit (8 gauge, black wires, custom made)
* German Castrol 0W-30 used since installation of PPP3.

Suspension / Drivetrain / Brakes:
All suspension/brake modifications done at approx. 12k miles.
* STi / SPT pink springs
* STi / SPT 22mm rear sway bar
* Perrin rear end links
* FHI / Subaru 4-pot front brakes
* FHI / Subaru 2-pot rear brakes. Kartboy adapters used for the install.
* 4-pots & 2-pots were refinished when new with VHT red paint & custom SUBARU decals.
* STi Group N rear differential mount (complete dog-bone)
* Kartboy rear differential outrigger bushings (comfort)
* STi Group N engine mounts
* STi Group N transmission mount
* STi Group N transmission crossmember mounts
* SuperPro rear trailing arm bushings (front & rear) – just installed at 14,395 miles.

Wheels / Tires:
Wheel/Tire package purchased from Tire Rack and installed at approx 12k miles.
* 18 x 8 BBS RE forged wheels in bright silver finish
* BBS metal valve stems
* BBS black lug nuts
* Yokohama ADVAN Neova AD07 225/40/18 tires
* Space Saver spare from 2006 WRX (fits over 4/2-pot brakes)

* Sub woofer under passenger seat (factory Subaru)

All original parts removed from the car are included with the vehicle with the exception of the original wheels & tires, the headlights, the fog lights, the badges, and the shift knob.

The asking price is $22,500. Yes, I am aware of my asking price. Yes, I know that I would be better off parting it out, but I currently have no intentions of doing so. Please do not clutter up this thread with posts about the price. I believe that this is a fair asking price based on the condition of this car, the mileage, the modifications, and the fact that all of the original parts are included with the car. IMO, you could not build this same car to the same standards for anywhere near the same money. Also, I am not in a situation where I need to sell the car. I just rarely get a chance to drive it and I would like to free up some space in the garage for my other projects. I would like to see it go to a good home where it would be appreciated but actually get used.

Please PM me if you are genuinely interested in the car and would like to seriously discuss the price or arrange to view the car. Please note that the car is currently stored for the winter, although it is almost time to start driving it.

Again, if you would like to comment on the price, but have no interest in purchasing the car, please do not do so in this thread. I think that is a reasonable request. Thanks.

We finally have some nice weather here in CT, so the car will be coming out of winter storage today or tomorrow.

If you start driving it, you won't want to sell it

I drove it a few times this weekend, and you may be right. Driving the car always puts a huge smile on my face. Even my wife said "You should really keep that car". I guess we'll see.

^^ No dyno sheet. When I installed the PPP3, I was looking for something that was a complete 'engineered' system that wouldn't give me any problems or reliability issues, and the Prodrive setup fit the bill. Like you, I am curious about the HP of the PPP3. Back when Prodrive USA was around, I spoke quite a bit with Dan about the output. He claimed that the PPP3 with the 'old' style divorced wg catted downpipe and STi IC should provide a max gain of just over 70 HP. I certainly have nothing to back up this claim, but the car spools quick and pulls very hard & smooth.
