By my bathroom scale the stock catback weighed about 37 lbs,
and the Cobb catback weighed 27 lbs. Most of the difference seemed to be in the muffler. What's your worry about the HKS exhaust? I think you mean to say it's 2.5" (not 2.95") compared to Cobb's. No big deal. |

i think the HKS is 75mm whch they told me was approx 2.95 inches, i guess if I'm spending more money i want it big, and everyone seems to say if you want more power you need a 3 in exhaust. i'm also worried it might hang too low, that it might scrape, it's alot of money for the HKS but it definitely has style, but I just want the most i can get out of this admittedly small hp mod

Unless you are replacing the turbo with something a lot bigger, a 2.5 could handle anything the stock turbo can throw at it.
and yes, 75mm ~2.95 ~3 inches, the are basically the same diameter. at 600hp, there might be 2 hp difference between the two. |

I have a three in on my car now and a 2.5 would make the same amount of power. As far as flow. You would need at least a PE turbo to see the limits of a 2.5.
