This weekend I did the grounding mod. I swear my avg voltage readout went up about .3 - .4 volts around 14.8 peak at 15.1 and as low as 14.3 at idle. I've been watching it very closely because of my recent install of the Dynabatt and UD install.
Anyway, my negitive terminal now is a bitch to connect and looks like a spider with huge legs. My question is...does someone make a harness for connecting terminals. For example...I want to easy screw in my 4 grounding cables on one end, and only have to hook up 1 end to the battery. See what I'm getting at??? Thanks |

... ditto the fact that such a "harness" would be nice ...

Try power distribution blocks. They are sold at car audio places.
It's something like this. http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S...715&I=21105020 But I am sure there are cheaper versions of this i fyou look around. Doug |

One thing I am going to buy is the Positive relocation post I ad on my 95 Trans Am. It will work perfectly for the negative ground mod. Might be cheaper than most other things. IMHO

This is probably more than adequate:
(1) 4 gauge in (4) 8 gauge out Like $4.50 at Parts Express (#265-800) They have wire too: $0.53 per foot for 8 guage $1.25 per foot for 4 gauge Reasonable prices, but at the weight of wire, and what it probably costs to ship, it may be better to pick it up locally. If you want to be more serious, there's this one: ![]() at sounddomain.com -- (1) 0 ga to (3) 4 ga for $12 or so. I bet they're gonna charge $200 for that HKS spider looking thing ![]() Would it make sense to use a clamp on current probe to see which ground wires are most important and perhaps determine if it's better to put them in some locations vs. others? If one wire sees 75% of the current, it makes sense to concentrate more on that area than the others, yes? Last edited by Concillian; 02-18-2002 at 03:20 PM. |

Actually if you want something that could be possibly lower in cost, check out www.arospeed.com
They have a unit similar and smaller in size to the HKS unit. |

Any car audio shop can hook you up with a ground distribution block, or a battery terminal with 4 or so 'connections'...
