I just can't figure out how people get promoted into positions where they actually think their products can compete with a twin-turbo, all wheel drive BMW.

They forgot to mention the BMW is significantly underrated from BMW.

'Tween the Evo and Sti, I went with the STi for reliability. As far as performance goes, the STi and 335i are probably pretty comparable. They are different cars though that satisfy different wants, but lack in some areas where the other does not.

335i Coupe please, I dont like the sedan. I think its above the STi and Evo without a doubt. If I wasn't in college and paying crazy tuition and fees I would so pick one up.
My rankings would look like this.... 335i Coupe>Evo X>STi |

47 grand is still more 7 grand higher than the fully loaded STi, and I'm willing to bet you could negotiate a better deal on the STi. People with that kind of coin to drop on a car are usually better at math than the author of that article.

![]() Help me with math, I think my calculations are off... If you were going to buy a $40K STI, and you change your mind and buy a Ralliart for $25K, what does that leave you with to put down on a house? My figures say $15K at most, what do have? ![]() |

no no, you're thinking new. the new ones are not damned yet.
a 'damn lancer ralliart' is the 2.4l n/a ****box from a year and a half ago. i think you can pick one up for 13k or so. and even if you need turbo and awd, a 25k new R/A is still 25k less than a BMW xi even modestly loaded. |

I'd go STI for utility and reliability reasons.

Maybe you only have that attitude because you can't afford one of those 'holycowi'mtotallygoingsofast' mobiles?
