Question E-Brake warning light fluttering on and off while car is driving?!?

E-Brake warning light fluttering on and off while car is driving?!? Does anyone have any idea why this would happen? I have made sure that the e-brake is completely all the way down and not engaged. I have no clue why this just happened.

I have a 03 WRX Sedan. Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,
David

check to see if you have enough fluid in the brake fluid reservoir. when the fluid is low, the light comes on.

the issue could also be a faulty switch on the handbrake or the ground wire may be coming loose.

same thing just started to happen with mine, but i had not driven my car all weekend and i left the handbrake on...i flipped it up and down a few times and it went away. then i took a corner hard and it turned on, then i turned again and it turned off. i figured it was teh fluid level.

Yep check your brake fluid. This is a maintenance issue not an electrical issue, so moving to the proper forum.
If you do find the fluid to be low, do NOT just add more. The usual cause for low fluid is worn pads (assuming there is no leak), and filling the reservoir before putting new pads in can cause it to overflow later.

I checked the brake fluid levels and they are fine. I even had the car serviced at the dealer 2,000 miles ago. I just can't figure out what it might be....?!?
