Default Installing sti catback, will it give me CEL?

Currently i have a ebay replica borla header, stock cat and catback. I'm thinkin of installing sti catback but im wondering if doing that will give me CEL?

STi cat back will not give you a CEL. The midpipe probably won't fit if you don't modify it. The thing that might give you a CEL is if you have an aftermarket cat, but seeing that you have a stock cat, I feel that you're in the clear.

i have a 2001 2.5RS and im mainly really lookin for a sound mod (something that's quiet in low rpm and give nice rumble sound in higher rpm). I got the replica borla already but stock cat/catback.

Am i better off w/ just axleback or whole catback? I know either way will need modification and mostly ill take it to a muff shop to do it.

get the catback, it's usually not that much more $$ to buy the midpipe with the muffler.

stromung is awesome. sounds great and performas great!. check youtube and search "stromung subaru" to hear it. check boxer4racing.com for prices. they definitely have one that fits ur car, as i have one on my Outback. imprezas are easiest subarus to mod. talk to patrick there he's a good guy. later, add a random tech cat and borla header.

No it will not.
One good bit of info...

if you get the sti catback, its a much better platform to work with then the stock rs exhaust because its bigger. For example, a person with uel headers and an sti catback with a different muffler will sound a little lower pitched than a person with uel headers, rs catback, and the same muffler as the other person.

Don't know if that makes sense. I'm really tired and I'm in class

I don't know what year car you have but the STI catback will not throw a cel.

I have a STI catback on my 2.5i wagon, no problems, doesn't sound bad will be move to stromung in the future.

Oh, I had to have the STI centerpipe cut and extended around 2" longer and it fit fine.
