Default 2008 WRX: 17x7 42mm offset?

Another paramedic where I work has a set of Enkei 17x7 100mm 42mm offset wheels from his old Civic SI. I know this offset is pushing it, but will they fit? $500 for the set of wheels plus a nice set of tires is the deal.

if they're off a civic they are most likely 4x100, unless its a type-r then its 5x114.3
either way it won't fit
your WRX is 5x100

basically unless wheels are 5x100 they won't fit, and unless you want to have camber/fender roll & pull keep the offset fairly high, take a look at the offset FAQ for the "right" or "safe" offsets, even though you can run lower with a few changes and difficulties, plus it looks better
cheers

I want to stick with 17 inch wheels, as I think 18's are too heavy, and the tire prices for those rims are quite a bit more.

From what I know, the rims are 5x100mm, double cut for 5x114mm.

sure it's a good deal but you already have a set of 17x7 wheels so why spend money on yet another set of 17x7 wheels?

yeah. getting another set of wheels in the same exact size...I think your not getting it roostmonkey. You do realize that you can get wider as well as larger wheels. You dont have to be limited to a 17x7 when a 17x8 will fit nicely and allow for more rubber if you choose.
