You don't need screws, those are for the coil on plug type. Mine has them too. The spark plug boots cover them

ok good, but another question...i got all the grommets for the valve cover bolts but i have 4 left? thats why i was wondering about those holes on the spark plugs b/c there are 4 of them as well hehe...so what do those 4 extra grommets go to cus i had a subaru guy order what i needed...he did a decent job at getting almost everything i needed subaru parts wise so im thinkin they go on something else

My kit came with only one extra valve cover grommet, but there are several smaller ones for the timing cover. Are those the ones you're talking about?

The guy thought it was ok to just cut the valve stems... I didn't want that. I was also worried about them scratching the bucket areas, they did put a small nick on one of the block halves where the heads bolt on. By the way, can you post a pic of your gaskets? I'm waiting on Rallispec but if they push me back more I'll be getting cometics.

Well you could post a pic of the ej20k gaskets, I wonder if they look like mine. Actually you could just check my thread to see if they're the same. What kind of gaskets did you get for the new setup?

First, somewhere he said the new gaskets looked crappier than the old ones... hence me asking to see them because I was curious as to why. After reading his reply to that, I asked to see the old ones to compare to my old ones. Third, if the brand is the same, the main difference will be bore size.
So anyways, what brand gaskets are your new ones, and you still haven't posted any pics of the original k gaskets.

Yeah you need to get fuel rails made for the GC8 like these: http://www.fecker.co.uk/scooby/product.php?id=8

The fange for the FPR should be the same across all Subarus from 1991+. I don't think non-OEM rails are a requirement, but what do I know. Hose points should be pretty similar, but don't expect any of the original metal hoses to work.
