I think Costco's got a coupon for $8 off a carton right now. It's something like $22 for 6 quarts.

Wal-Mart sells a 5 qt bottle of Mobile 1 for about $23.00 every day. No overpriced filter though.

You guys are obviously doing something wrong

My friends and I use Mobile 1 in our rally cars and we never had bearing issues.
We had some rods making holes in the engine but no bearing issues.

In fact I know guys finishing stages with punctured radiators and running engines just on oil (with oil coolers)

This is a choice for most teams

this will be hell of a deal if you buy 5 qt. of their 0W40 OR 5W40

for the other weights it's still pretty decent.

well never spun/broke anything on mobil1 synth in any car of mine. ever.
and i've owned a lot of cars, including 6 suby's in the last 5yrs.

However, you can always get that $23 jug at walmart if you don't wanna stock up now, and i use Pure 1 filters, that you used to be able to get at amazon.com for <$6 a pair, free shipping if you get $25 worth. (ended up being less than $3 a filter. I stocked up good.)

the 5w40 rotella t for a syn or the 15w40 rotella non-syn for inexpensive oils

i see a lot of idiots pointlessly pouring a LOT of $$$ down the drain way too often around here for the sake of longevity at the top of a scale that their cars will never see for one reason or another
like using the wrong oil and blowing it up
anyway

My personal opinion is there should be no more oil posts allowed in Nasioc - all should be referred to BITOG, they know what they are talking about. MOST people here just tell you to use what they are using to make themselves feel better.
