Hi guys, I'm Cameron. Just picked up a black '04 a few weeks ago. It has been very exciting. Looking forward to meet up some time with the other locals. There is a white STI(?) that lives about a block from me in the Maize and Central area but I am socially awkward...

From what I can tell, my car has a turboback exhaust with an Apexi muffler, and had an AEM cai that I just swapped out for the stock intake last night...and Tein H Tech springs.

Im a Wichita, KS owner of an 03 WRX. I noticed in the "Midwest Chapter" that Kansas isnt on the list?! As if were not worthy! I see more and more Rex's in the Wichita area lately... Which is great to see!

Anyone know of a shop that will install the aerocatch hood pins. I've got a cf hood on the way and was looking to have those installed as well.
I've heard the latches on the siebon hoods are still pretty good though. So I may just forget the hood pins for now.

i rocked a seibon hood for a while and i was ALWAYS affraid of it ripping loose. with the hoodscoop trapping air, when i would meet semi's on the highway it would look like it was going to let go and slam into my windshield. if i did it again i would most definitely get some aerocatches.

cf hoods normally use the stock latch, but you are only as stong as the weakest link. if the latch mounting point breaks loose, then the hood is opening...

btw i only used the cf hood for like a month before i stopped driving the car..

Anyone got a spare boost control solenoid valve? Trying to pin point why I'm running wastegate pressure on my new accessport stage 2. I can feel the restrictor in the line, or I think anyway.

Thanks

They are, for sure. It was running 8.5psi before I put the stage 2 map on, as well. From what I've gathered ~8.5psi is wastegate pressure.

No MBC that I can see, all lines look stock. Car has just a TBE with a custom downpipe (flat plate with a 3" pipe). I've reflashed the stage 2 and also reset the ECU through the AP and still no difference, so I'm not thinking it's the ECU doing it...I think it's mechanical. Just need to figure out what. So far, my only conclusions are a broke solenoid, or the restrictor, which I can feel...I will have to take the lines off though to verify that it hasn't been tampered with.

Edit: Went to Subaru and got a new boost controller solenoid. It worked. Now hitting 17psi max...lovely day.

Well thanks to All Angles we got the aerocatch hood pins installed. They did a pretty damn good job seeing that i had a hard time finding anyone who wanted to install them.

Then had Ray at fusionworks upgrade me with the FMIC.
Here are a few pics.....

I had the hood previously installed and I hated how much bounce/shake it had on the highway and didn't feel comfortable with it like that. The pins were a little less than $90, but install was not cheap.
No one wanted to install them, but I was finally directed to all angles off of west st who said the could do them.
The final cost to have those pins installed was $300 but to me it's well worth it.
