Default FS: Stoptech Brake Kit

i'm looking at selling my Stoptech front brake kit. it's got about 2.5k mi on it. the kit was installed & broken-in by Stoptech and routinely inspected by Stoptech to monitor wear, etc... the kit still has the Axxis pads in them.

the only reason i'm looking at selling it is because i'm considering going to back to 16" wheels.

email me at home ONLY if you're SERIOUSLY interested or if you have valid questions regarding the kit. please, NO low-ballers.

jud@surfcity.net

selling price: $1200/obo. the kit retails for $1700.

thanks

duckboy

Duckboy (Jud),

Hey, I'm the guy that bought your WRX wheels. I was curious what wheel and brake combo you're planning on going to and why? Do you think 16's will help you on the track?

hey good to hear from you again.

the 16's won't help the car that much on the track (even though they're lighter) since you'd be losing a bit a on feel and vehicle response. but, the next suspension that i plan on going to will have stiffer rate springs so i was thinking that i may try and get a bit more cush and compliance from the tires, hence, 16's. i was planning on going with those gold 6 spoke 16" speedlines. mike shields has a set left. eventually i'd throw the subaru 4 pots on there down the road. for now, i'd just use the stock calipers but with braided lines. stoptech makes their own braided lines for the stock calipers.

but i don't want to go back to the stock wheels since i can't fit subaru 4 pots calipers under them and they're a lame 6.5 wide. i'd like to run a 7.0 if possible (which those speedlines are).

anyway, still waiting to see if i can unload them for a fair price. if not, i'll keep them and stay w/ my 18's.

hope all is well, david, good to hear from you...

aloha
