Default WTB: Any wrx motor

looking for a decent used or abused short block, long block, block halves, bare heads, heads with bent valves.... or anything that is 02'+ that is cheap and in your way and you want it out! let me know what you have and maybe we can work out a deal...

im looking to make a really strong maybe stroked out engine for my scoob... mine has 100k on it and i hate beating on it. i dont want it to blow up.

i have a 02 WRX longblock that supposily has a bad cylinder. I took the valve covers off and everything is clean.

well considering it "may" have a bad cylinder what might you want for it? ballpark...

dave if you do that start thinking about your transmission. If I still had my 04 wrx I would of done a ppg dogbox and a sti shortblock I think there only 1700 or so new.
I shattered 2nd real easy lol.

im on it man thanks though... STi short block is only 1129 at Ocean Subaru which is where i work now... and alot of the subaru techs say that there is way around shattering second gear... one of the techs has a 10 sec rex with stock tranny gears and 4.44 diffs.... locked front and rear. guy is crazy. he has 42lb ford lightning injectors on his rex... i dont get it but he is bringing it to work to show me tomorrow... bunch of wierd lil tricks he said...

I have an 04 wrx short block with spun bearing if you are interested, it has just been sitting in my garage for a year now.

As mentioned above, I would recommend doing an STi short block if you really want to build something fun, that is what I am currently running on my car. with the stock injectors and turbo I made 320 ft*lb and haven't blown the stock tranny yet. But if you want a 2.0 short block cheap just let me know.

I have an EJ255 with perfect compression and under 50k miles that I am willing to sell outright if I can find a good EJ205 to replace it with. Make me an offer and we can talk about it.

2005 LGT but it is the same as the 2006+ WRX motor.

i have a ej205 thats out of a 04 i believe wagon, came out of the car when i bought it, I put a 2.5 block in the there so i have no idea if its running, the heads are off the engine and it looks fine just would need to be honed and cleaned up. i have the turbo, header, clutch and flywheel is still on the engine let me kno if your intrested

my motor has not been beat on... im a subaru technician. i just would like something to experiment with.... plus i dont want something in running condition... i want to work the motor over a little...
