I've got a complete set of GD rear spindles collecting dust in my garage. I can probably cut you a fellow auto-x'er deal on them if they'll work.

I've got spare of almost all the components I need to replace, there's a few things I'm going to buy, but it's not much.

That's good to know, man. This stuff costs enough without factoring in breakage.....

I just noticed you don't run a handbrake setup (at least on that side)......interesting. Have the knuckles recieved any attention from a diegrinder prior to this?

parking brake is probably about good 15 lbs for the entire system.

It's more like 23.

The knuckles had not seen any damage or grinding before this incident. The casting itself was 100% stock 1990 legacy wagon rear disc brake knuckle.

Update-

Cen-Divs in Milwaukee were this weekend and it was a blast. The courses were great and the car was running pretty well. The new rear wing really helped keep the rear end planted in high speed sweepers and enabled us to run a lot more rear toe out to get the car to rotate under power at lower speeds. It's really getting to be a handful now, and my co-driver seems to be a little better at controlling it that I am.

Saturday he beat me by 2 seconds, Sunday I got him by 1.1 seconds, not nearly enough to catch up. In class we ended up 1 and 2.

Sweet! I saw you're entered for Lincoln. Is Tovsen codriving there too? What sort of wing did you end up doing? I'm building a standard *SP spoiler now but am always keeping an eye on *Prepared development.

Keep up the good work!

Neal only drove at the Peru Tour. I haven't talked to him about driving at any other events as my regular co-driver and I are signed up for the rest of the major events in XP. The car is no longer legal for EM, so if we were going to run 3 or more drivers there would have to be some changes made.

The wing is a 5 square foot, dual element wing on a support frame that sticks places the wing within 1/2" of the limits of the rules as far as how high and far back it is.

It looks almost ridiculous, but it works wonders. I plan on getting a 6-1/2 to 7 square foot wing for next year, this one is only on loan from a friend.

I have been looking into buying vs. making my own wing and right now I think buying the elements and assembling them myself is the best deal. My time is worth enough to make buying the elements worth it.

The wing is definitely high enough, but still too small.

Update-

I went to Mid-Div's in Lincoln last weekend and won XP by 1.8 seconds. I felt my driving was much better than it has been over the past year and the R35A slicks are something out of this world.

My last run on Sunday was probably the best run of my autoX career. I had the car dancing from the first slight right hand turn to the last left kink into the finish. The car never really felt hooked up, but more as if I was just suggesting where I wanted it to go and it went. My time was a 57.315. The best EM car I saw ran a 57.2xx.

I can't wait to do that again.

FYI You were lifting both inside tires on entry to the showcase corner on the west course. It was during at least two of the runs.

Car looks down right evil.

Sounds awesome man! Having the car dance under you is extremely thrilling, and when you get past the absolute blast of feeling it, your inputs can lead to super quick times!!! BIC= Barely In Control......that's how we roll!!!

See you this weekend!

No video's of the runs from last weekend.

I wish I had a picture of the car with the inside two wheels off the ground. I saw it once and had quite a few people mention it to me. Looks like I need to do more work to get the CG down and improve the suspension geometry.

For Nationals I should have some in car footage and datalogs.
