Who the **** still pre-orders games? If I really want a game, I go to a store on the release date. If there aren't enough copies of the game, someone screwed up. Games aren't like consoles... they don't run out like they might have years ago when they weren't being mass produced on the cheap.

What line? I don't think he means stand in line like a dild at 12am waiting for his new Harry Potter book.

I go to a store on release date, walk in, get my game and leave. There is no line, in fact besides the people that work there it's usually just me in the store.

Not to sure if I will ever get another Lego such and such game. There just isn't enough risk involved in it for me. You can die every 2 seconds and you lose nothing so what exactly is the point.

Exactly. I haven't had to do anything special to get a new game in the last 5-6 years.

In fact, I can usually go the day after or a few days after release and still find plenty of copies of the game I'm looking for. If a store happens to be sold out, the next store 0.1 miles down the street has 40 copies.

+1. Saved $5 on my Metal Gear Solid box by doing so, too.

As far as new games go, I wait for the magazines and websites to do their reviews before I buy. There are only a few franchises that I would blindly pre-order new games of/from/at whatever.

Yeah there isn't much I buy now without trying first or knowing it will be good.

I blindly will buy any GTA, GT, Forza, every NHL game from EA, Madden, MG. If there isn't a demo on Xbox or PS3 for the game I usually don't even bother. That is the best thing to happen to consoles in my eyes...downloadable demos because gone are the days of returning crap games to EB within the 14 days of purchase.
