Default Tire prices

Is it just me or does it seem that tire prices have gone up? I just looked into a set of RE070s and they are at least $40-50/tire more than 6 months ago. I'm not sure if I found them during a sale or what but I think everything is more expensive. Damn oil prices!!!

well, for one all prices on things not made in, or partially not made in the US are going up because of our weakening dollar. Isn't rubber also made out of petroleum?

the petroleum costs do have a dramatic effect on tires as their production uses a lot of the stuff and then they have to be transported ....
