Default New Lugs For Stock Wheels???

Ok heres the deal. I have a set of WRX wheels for summer and then the stock OBS wheels for winter and my lugs have lost more of the chrome plating on them or whatever it is thats there so they are now getting rusty. I want to upgrade to a blue lug because the WRX wheels are bronze now and I think that would look pretty cool. Any help with aftermarket lugs on stock wheels?... All I hear is thats a no-no.

Then you're listening to the wrong people. The stock lugnuts have the same 60deg seat that is pretty much the industry standard. I use the same set of Rays lugnuts with my Volk auto-x wheels, BBS street wheels, and OEM open track wheels.

Hmmm... Cause I was looking at Evasivemotorsports.com and they had a set of Muteki's that caught my eye but underneath the item listing it told me this:
"NOTE: LUG NUTS ARE MADE WITH TAPERED BOTTOMS SPECIFICALLY FOR AFTERMARKET WHEELS. DO NOT USE THESE TUNER LUGS FOR YOUR FACTORY WHEELS. WE NO LONGER ACCEPT RETURNS ON LUG NUTS FROM CUSTOMERS WHO ATTEMPT TO USE THEM ON FACTORY WHEELS. THESE LUGS ALSO DO NOT FIT ON SPECIAL WHEELS THAT REQUIRE INVERTED LUGS. WE WILL ALSO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS FROM CUSTOMERS THAT TRY TO USE THEM FOR THESE TYPES OF WHEELS."

That sounds like a generic statement to protect them from people who buy the wrong parts and then whine about it.

If you'd rather believe Evasive than me, that's fine.

Yeah, I've used the same generic duraluminum lugnuts on 6 sets of aftermarket and stock wheels now and they're all fine.

exactly, i highly doubt that every aftermarket wheel has some trait that all stock wheels dont have. besides, one could argue that the STi BBS' are aftermarket.

regardless, im getting black muteki's next week to go with my gold 6 spokes, so ill let ya know
