Default how's the drive on 10 between Phoenix and Tucson?

i gotta be in tucson tuesday night for Wed-Fri business, but i'd like to fly back on friday eve. to be back in philly either late friday night or sat. morn....

there are no direct flights to tucson and no easy flights back through tucson (less than 1 layover)

thinking about flying into pheonix and driving down to UA, this will probably give me the most flight options...is the drive scenic, haven't done it since i was 12 or so.

worried about traffic on a friday aft. to catch my return flight home...

I've only driven that route at night, so I can't say anything other than what I did see, was a bunch of dessert. That's all I got.

Also, you spelled Phoenix wrong.

Enjoy your stay in the SWIC.

Ok I'm sorry.

On a serious note:

I distinctly remember the drive being boring and a lot of construction upon entering Tucson. Phoenix traffic on a Friday afternoon will be congested, but not too bad. That's about all the knowledge I got.

Also, I mainly wanted to get the 'You spelled Phoenix wrong' out of the way before szeny comes in here and makes a big deal about it.

Right now, on fridays in phoenix, traffic starts to get bad about 3pm from everyone trying to get home early to leave town I guess, it actually clears up towards 5pm.

The dirve it self is decent, there's a HUGE new theater/shopping complpex in the middle of nowhere now. Picacho peak is still there. You do appreciate how ugly it doesn't look out here, rather drive miles out here than a bunch of other states.

Going into tucson still has construction, but it's not bad getting into town, but theres a stretch where you have to get off at one exit to get to any of the 5 or so exits using hte access road. Vice versa, if you miss that exit, you won't be able to get off untill you pass that stretch. MAybe someone from tucson will chime in and give the exits name and the exits it covers, but there is a big sign I beleive that lists the exits.

If you wanna get off on speedway, which goes right by the school, you need to get off at that one exit. It's like 3-4 exits before speedway I believe.
