My car just turned 30k. Due to free oil changes by the dealer, I've been going to the dealer for each service interval.
Now I'm at 30k. According to my.subaru.com, the 30k service is this, (if I filter out the word "inspect): - oil change (free) - replace coolant - replace air filter (stupid.. this is a 2 minute DIY) - replace brake fluid (I do track days, so I've done this already several times) Is that it? How about tranny fluid? Any other adjustments? That doesn't seem worth it to pay the dealer to do it. At the same time, I don't know if there are "hidden" things that make a periodic visit to the dealer worth it. For example, on my wife (non Subie) car, I took it in for the long interval service and found there was a service bulletin on the brake master cylindar... and it was replaced for free under warranty. Any known TSB's on 06 wrx wagons?

Ok... my dealer also does tranny fluid and rear diff fluid...
And "inspect and tighten" all under carriage, etc. (fo real?) all for a measely $420 (!!!). I know that's going rate for cars, but sheesh, no wonder we DIY. |

According to the FSM, it looks like you are doing the right things, though they do add an advised replacement of the fuel filter too on my model year.
There is no change interval specified for tranny and diff, but many people do it anyway. There are a lot of "inspects". |
