Default Windshield Help Please

I have a huge crack on my windshield and it has to be replaced (can't be fixed). I'm calling glass places and they are asking me if it's heated by the wipers? What do I look for to find out?

I have a 2007 Impreza 2.5i.

Do you have a strip or two on the lower portion on your windshield sorta like the strips used for the rear window defroster? You see this on certain vehicles like Dodge/Chrysler minivans.

Simple question: do you have heated seats?

If you do, then you have the winter package that would include heated mirrors and a heated windshield.

I know, I just had my windshield replaced and my window guy scoped the car out and told me that on cars with the heated windshield, it's very difficult to tell if it has it and then he finds out that it does when it's been removed.

I don't have a heated windshield. The replacement glass is from PPG and had I paid for it, it would have been only a few hundred dollars to do so.

Back to the point. Heated seats = heated windshield.
