Default AC help

so apparently last week my AC decided to die on me and leave my @$$ to fry , i had to get the compressor rebuilt and i replaced the dryer thing but i need to replace the expansion valve too...does anyone know where the valve is located at?? the car is an 02 wrx, thanks

The expansion valve is located inside the HVAC housing just behind the firewall where the AC lines pass through into the passenger compartment. You should find the procedure in this thread helpful-
