Default Blue Interior LED's

I've read all the stickies and have researched this a ton. I want a blue interior, but it seems like the only way to do this is with white LED's and stage gels. I don't want to put that much time into the lights just for a cool blue color. I've tried the bulb condoms and those suck. I tried paint, sharpies, and those with the condoms; all of which failed. I was just wondering if anyone has tried blue LED's and if they work well. If so, where did you get them? I don't wanna drop 30 bucks in LED's just to find out they suck. Or is there another way I haven't mentioned? Thanks for any help.

I got these on my 08. I installed 4 sets (2 for map light, 1 for dome light, 1 for trunk light). Cost me $15 a set only and they are bright with a little bluish.

PM me if you wanna know where to get them.

Well, it seems like if you would have just done it the right way the first time it would have been a lot less hassle. Hit up Mechie3, I had him do mine and he did a great job.

30bucks is actually really really cheap for led lights

Ditto. I did it the way my tutorial shows because no one was getting decent results any other way, so a new way was needed. Replacing the stock lights with blue makes your (red) needles not show up and also makes the redline purple. Sharpies and bulb condoms result in hot spotting. Put the time into it and it will come out well and you'll be happy and impressed with the results. Do it poorly, and the amount of time you've spent on each trial adds up along with the wasted effort and money.

www.superbrightleds.com has all colored led lights for tons of applications.

I heard somewhere on here that superbrightleds didn't have the right leds for the consol lights and gauges.
