Thumbs up Thermal R&D WRX cat-back 3inch stainless

On Tues. I installed a thermal cat-back with the help of a good friend and I must say that I have nothing but praise.

As for the specifics........full stainless(flanges, etc.), mandrel bends, cat-back, 3 inch, absolutly awesome rolled OVAL tip! fully polished! And a reasonable price!

The only thing that some may see as a draw back(I do not) is that where the piping meets the cat there is a sleeved joint. I think that this was done to fit both jdm and usdm downpipes but that is just my speculation and your vendor could better anwser a question like that.

As for hp increases; I did not dyno and do not own a g-tech. However, I can tell you that on a wrx with only a k&n the weak spot when shifting from 1st to 2nd is almost undetectable now.

As for sound........it sounds awesome. Very deep and grumbly but not anything that I would call loud. It is not an artificial deep tone like say an n1 on a civic might sound.......more of a tough gurgle. It is detectable with the radio off at highway speeds but not very. Everyone that has listened so far has had very good things to say about the sound.

I do not have any photos yet as it has been raining ever since i put it on. I will try and get photos soon.

If you are interseted you can contact Dan from GODSPEED ej20@twmi.rr.com for purchase info. If you have not delt with him before you will not be disapointed. Customer service is top notch.
