Default RS Wheels on a WRX?

Does anyone have a pic of a WRX with RS 16-inchers (I guess they would be 2001 wheels)?

If so, please post a pic. I am thinking about trading my WRX wheels for a set of these.

Definately trade! Wider rims, clears upgraded brakes, look better. No downside!

I kinda like the 98 golds on a new age Impreza. There are plenty of pics around the forum.

Austin,

Your REX looks sweet. Have you got pics of your RS, I assume it has the WRX wheels.

Anyone interested in such a swap? (Preferrably near St. Louis, MO)

I doubt you'll find anyone here that will give up their pre-2002 wheels!

Does anybody know if the 'spare tire' will fit on a wheel with a 4 pot brake? or a 2 pot rear?

No, the RS has it's own wheels, and it's still riding on the RE92's. For just the two subarus, I have a total of six sets of wheels/tires sitting in the garage... plus another three sets of wheels/tires for my trucks. I need to invest in rubber companies.

Austin,

Your WRX looks great with the my00-01 rims. It looks like those may be Falken Azenis on there? Are you running 225-50s? Any rubbing with it lowered? I have some my98 rims coming my way and I was considering the Falken 225s. Thanks.

The tires on the MY01 RS wheels on the wrx are 225/50 Yokohama A032R's. I can't see why you'd rub with 7" wheels w/53 offset.

I run about -2.5 degrees of camber on the front wheels, and I use 15mm wheel spacers, so my effective offset is 38mm, and I don't rub.

Just curious:
- Why the 15mm spacers?
- How are the Yokohamas in the rain?

Thanks.

Spacers on the front wheels give a wider front track, which gives less understeer/more stability.

I don't run the yoko's everyday, but I've been through some nice pacific northwest rainstorms and they're stable and secure. Very similar to s-02 pole positions. And they're the shiz on a wet track.

Default Anyone else?

Let's see a WRB Rex with 00-01 rims.

How about a WRB Rex with anthracite-colored 00-01 rims (I know, too specific).

BTW, I want a set of these rims. If you have them, let me know.

For a short while I owned both my rs & wrx. I liked both of them better with each others wheels (plus I kept the RS wheels and ditched the WRX stockers w/ the re92's)

That's the picture I was looking for. I have a set of my98 (gold) rims that will be going on my Red WRX. I am considering bead blasting them silver because it looks quite nice, as shown by cwhalgren. Any side shots, cw? Anyone have gold '98s on a red wrx? Thanks.

Here are some more pictures: http://www.imagestation.com/album/pi...?id=4292271785

Most of those pictures were taken for the guy who bought my RS, so they dont "feature" the WRX. PM me if you need a better picture, I'll just go take one.

Do NOT repaint those rims silver... There are many people on the board who would be willing to just swap (probably even give you extra money) in trade for the '99 wheels.

Cool Finally got some pictures this weekend.

I had to break down and wash the wheels first though. The front ones were so bad, you would have thought I had them custom painted anthracite.

I took me a while to get those pics for you, but I've posted them here.
