Default Access Port 2.0 Giving me Error Code 1014

Um, what's this? I bought this used from a guy with an 05 STi. Did he not uninstall in? Or he just decided to sell me a broken unit? Obviously Cobb tech support is closed during the weekends.

You have to give more info than that.

What were you doing? what firmware do you have? what point of the installation failed?

What car, is it in test mode? can it connect to the computer?

what part of installation? right after the map is chosen? when the map is being downloaded when the map is being flashed?

Is the AP new or used? what is you dongle info?

Dongle info?

Like it says, I bought it used.

As I hit ok to install the map, the next screen I get is this error.

Model is AP-SUB-002.
It was advertised as -001 which is what I think I need for a 2.0L.
When I right click and hit "Identify Access Port" I get this under AccessPort Model: 2004 - 2007 USDM 2.5L Turbo

I'm pretty sure it was misrepresent and I have the wrong unit. Just my luck...

Firmware v1.2.4.1-4983

So is this the correct AP for my car? There's a 2.0L and a 2.5L correct?

Dongle Version 6.00

Under model info, it says USDM 2004 - 2007 2.5L Turbo. I have the wrong AP. Problem solved.

So now do I try to get my money back or resell it?

that model AP should work, unless it is allready programed as installed. If that is the case, you will want to try and get your money back.

Your car is an 04-07 right? and it does have a 2.5 liter turbo, right?

2004 and 2005 WRX are 2.0L
2006 and 2007 WRX are 2.5L

Pretty sure this is accurate.

I have the wrong Access Port. It's currently in the classified section and on eBay.
