Default 30k service & preparing for 2 mth road trip

At the beginning of June I'll be embarking on a two-month road trip around the US and Canada, which is looking to be at least 10k miles. By the time I start the trip there should be at least 28.5k miles on the car.

How stupid is it to get the 30k service before I start the trip? If the price is not outrageous, I'd like to have it done at the dealership where I bought the car, because I like them. (I know to check and make sure that they don't add extra things to the service.)

Before anyone recommends it--I am not doing it myself because I have neither the tools nor the time to do so. Someday.

Finally, is there anything different that should be done during the service in preparation for the trip? Or anything I should do in preparation? Right now all I can think of is a serious wash, wax, and interior clean... oh, and hardwiring the sirius radio finally.

Thanks!

the 30k service before the trip definitely won't hurt and the dealer can make sure the car is in top shape before the trip...

with all the driving, I'd recommend keeping an eye on all the fluids and tire pressure periodically through the trip. That, a AAA membership and a few $$ for repairs just in case, and you should be in good shape. Also if you have a cabin air filter, now might be a good time to change it
