Default Opinions needed - STI CBE to Stromung Axleback - Pipe Dia Question

Okay, within the next week or so I am changing my STI CBE to a stromung axle back. I have read many threads about stromung parts but can't really find an answer to my question.

I guess my question or the opinions I need is this;

Stromung sells their axleback's in both 2.5" dia pipe and 2.25" dia pipe.

#1 Do I leave on the STI centerpipe (already on the car and extended) on and go with the 2.5" pipe on the axleback (the sti centerpipe dia measures about 2.3+ inches)

OR

#2 Do I put back on my stock centeripe and go with the 2.25" dia pipe on the axleback. (the stock centerpipe dia measures about 2.13+ inches)

I have read about back pressure etc, but I don't think there is a huge difference in pressure between a 2.5" and 2.25" axleback??

I do not want to buy the stromung centerpipe as I would rather leave in the STI one or stock one so there is a resonator to cut down on rasp.

Down the line I will be doing the UEL headers and high flow cat but that is not for a while maybe close to 6-8 months.

I'm not too sure about the back pressure etc, but if you want to do less work, since the STi centerpipe is already extended and on the car, the 2.5" axleback should bolt up and be the right length already.

I'll try and search, maybe you can as well in case I can't find it.

I really don't see why the 2.5" axleback wouldn't be good, as in the future when I do the UEL headers and catpipe, I can have 2.5" all the way back.

Oh, hello fellow LISC'er, I had a feeling that was you

They have the 2.5" under the wrx section.

I'm gonna go with the 2.5" axleback as a guy on my local board is selling me the 2.5" midpipe
