How did you break it? Any mods that would cause that?

No mods that would've caused it. It was actually kind of slick out and in the middle of first gear it made a thump sound. All of the gears still work. The clutch engages good. It just makes a bad sound whenever the clutch is out, moving or not. "I" did nothing specific to break it. It seems like an oddball tranny problem.

Did you need the stock "Y" hose under the intercooler? I left a message on your cell if you needed it. I guess not. Hey can I buy a case of that Honda cleaner stuff you got?

Troll? Or does he not know that Ralliart is a Mitsu tuner? I once saw a Saturn coupe with a ralliart windshield banner

Hope you get everything back together quickly, do they make aftermarket diffs and shift forks and rails yet for those tranny's?

Subaru is giving me the runaround. They got it most of the way apart today and said, "It's all messed up." Thats about all we've gotten from them. At first it was not going to be a warranty repair do to abuse. That was before they even knew the problem. Then I went to the manager and he was quite a bit more helpful. So we'll find out the verdict tomorrow. Its just going to depend on how high up the foodchain I have to go.

Whats up Allen,
They do make some aftermarket drivetrain parts but they dont come cheap. The cheapest tranny gearsets I've seen are $2000. This guy has the baddest friggin import in AK. In anything after first gear, he will stomp all over you until you cry. Youve got to see this thing run.

The Nissan is a 260Z with a Skyline swap. I haven't met him, but I saw his website. I'll see if I can dig it up.

Well it looks like his site is down. He was running 11.1 at 120 with stock boost levels on the RB26DETT. He said he planned to do some work and up the boost soon. Very cool.

Here's a picture of it.

I think I've seen brokeawd's car on the net too. If it's the car I'm thinking of, the total price of the car and mods was somewhere around 5k dollars(can't remember the price for sure). That in itself is amazing. Two very cool cars.

Default RB26DETT Hybrid whipped my Talon

Yes this hybrid Nissan walked my car pretty good. I have to give that guy props though, his setup is awesome and the potential of that car hasnt even been tapped. He is basically running a stock RB26DETT w/15psi and fatty frount mount, Other than that he uses SDS standalone ecu. It has some really awesome parameters on it. I work with this guy somewhat he is in the airforce, he moved over from Japan Last spring. If he gets everything together like he has planned this summer it should tap low 10's maybe high 9's. Plus the car only weighs about 2100lbs w/driver. It has 2 seats, a fuel cell, steering wheel and shifter, thats about all. This car is a beast, leaves the liner hard, real hard.

here is the link to his website

http://www.geocities.com/stonehac/

I think the aftermarket for the dsm tranny's is now just coming around. There is a company that builds dsm tranny's come with welded DIFF and 4 spider equipped when you buy them, steel shift fork, EVO 6 1st and 2nd gear sets, all kinds of goodies, price...2400 new +shipping. The past 2 tranny's I have grenaded couldnt be saved, blew out the center diff on a 3-4 shift and case came apart gear oil went everywhere, the other broke a 2-3 rail and it also got into the diff and tore the case up, so Im on tranny #4
