Default WTT: '04 STi Springs/struts for D-Specs

I've got a set of '04 STi takeoffs that I'd like to trade + cash on my end, for a set of new or very low mileage Tokico D-Spec struts. I was told that the STi springs/struts had 17k miles on them and no reports of clunking. I haven't installed them on my own car , so I can't say for sure, and are being sold as is. I only need the D-Spec struts only, and they must be in good condition. Perfect for somebody going back to stock. LMK what you got.

Just curious, do you know how much these weigh and how big of a box they'd fit in?

I estimate about 85lbs. They're pretty friggin heavy, especially after they're all packed up and stuff. I went to 5 different places to look for boxes and finally picked up a box 28x18x18. You can actually go smaller, but I chose this box because it was the only one I could find that was a 2-ply (double wall). These things are super heavy, so I don't need them ripping a hole in the box. If you've ever seen a set of Tein coilovers in their shipping boxes, it's a joke. I'm surprised that not too many of them getting damaged in shipping.

Thanks for the info. Once you ship, please let me know how much it was to ship. I bought some STi assemblies, and the seller paid over $100 to ship them. He said he used a few bags of peanuts and an old pillow to pack them. I don't think he's ever shipped anything before, but I hope I get the things in one piece.

Yup, shipping will be well over $100 here too. Packing peanuts on something this heavy sounds a little scary, but good luck! I think the buyer will be pleased with the way I packed his stuff. I individually bubble wrapped each spring/strut. I then paired them up and taped them together. Then wedged more bubble wrap around all 4. Then, covered it on top with more bubble wrap. I used up my stash of packing materials on this one, but meh, I'll just but more parts and accumulate a new stash...hehehe.

I agree that bubble wrap is the way to go and that peanuts is a bad idea since they'll just settle out of the path of the struts. Good job
