Default Sorry, Noob Question

ok, so ive been reading up on how to remove the drl, so i disconnected the the silver box next to the passenger side strut and the car wouldnt turn on?!?!? i connected it back and it turned on, what did i do and which box is the correct box tthat im supposed to disconnect?

mine was under the dash, near the stering column. it is the white connector of the black+white pair, directly abore the brake pedal.

search for drl.. there's the resistor in the engine bay and the module under the glovebox.. it should be in the same position for 02-06.. i think they made the drl plug a bit higher in 07 iirc.. well, something along those lines
