My new clutch, I had it custom made for me and it should be able to handle just about anything you can throw at it! It has a 2500 or 2600 lb pressure plate, a sprung 6 puk disk with kevlar on the flywheel side and ceramic on the pressure plate side. This way it should not eat up your flywheel which is under 12lbs. - $850

this would be better then a stg2 because to my knowledge there is no stg 2ceramic/kevlar clutchs. And yes its bran new. The reason its not going into my car is I am putting in an automatic tranny.

Dang why would you want to switch to auto..thats no fun. Im guessing you are pushing some major power and drag your car? If you wouldn't mind would you pm your phone number to me cuz im going to have my car towed to the dealership in the morning and if there cost for a new clutch and lightened fw from them is too much i'd like to get yours which would need to be shipped quickly.

Your right they do appear to be similar. But my flywheel is recessed about 1/8 inch and that one dose not appear to be. Secondly that is a full ceramic disc which will eat up your flywheel within about 5,000 - 10,000 miles. Mine is kevlar on the flywheel side and therefore will not. And sense most of the grip takes place on the flywheel side the pressure plate should be fine. Lastly they do not mention the clamping pressure of the diaphragm.

the clutch itself will not destroy a tranny. It all depends on how you drive your car. With a stouter clutch you just have to be aware of what you are doing. Sure if you put somthing in like this and drive it like an ass then most likely you will blow it up.

The clutch was built with my motor in mind.
- Sleeved ej25 - 100mm bore Cosworth pistons - Eagle rods - Port and polished EJ20 heads w/ 1 mm bigger In/Ex valves & springs and retainers - Crowler stg 4 cams - 2.5I intake; 90mm throttle body, dual injectors, and direct port meth bungs - Greddy header - external up-pipe - 3" electric cut out in the down pipe - 1200HP rated water to air intercooler - Aquamist HSF-5 meth injection - Megazilla 72 lb/min turbo - Autronic ECU |
