So I haven't fully disasembled my current setup but I bought the car used with the lamco kpa boost gauge on the steering column. I was wondering what gauges would be the best replacement. I don't think I want any other gauges except maybe an EGT. I like the placement on the column or the pod that replaces the gauge pod bezel. What would be the easiest reasonably priced gauge to swap in where I wouldn't need to rewire for it? I couldn't tell if the MadDad gauges were mechanical or eletric, and im assuming the Lamco one is mechanical.

I have the OEM Lamco boost gauge and was thinking about replacing it. The out to out dimension is +/- 1 11/16" on the bezel (inside the mount). It's a mechanical gauge, so I fairly sure that eliminates Autometer, since the smallest they have is 2 1/8". I did the searches and have the same question you do. Hopefully, highspeed forum rangers will help us out!? Hello...anybody out there?

The closest direct replacement is the Omori 45mm series of gauges, these are close enough to the 42mm size of the Lamco to fit in the same pod with a bit of persuasion. There was a mechanical version but I don't know if it's available any more, you can use the electrical version with just a bit more work.
For more info on the Omori gauges contact J-Spec Tuning, they are a NASIOC vendor and US distributor for Omori. |

I guess i was more concerned with the vacuum line and the power wires than the gauge housing, but thanks for the info
